Rachel and Rudi Marten have a sit-down with PhotoVision producer, Ed Pierce, to discuss how they keep their studio evolving and how they go about catering to affluent clientele. Rachel talks about how to keep motivated and never stagnate with your photography business, being flexible is vital to success. Rudi then talks about various methods of marketing to high-end clientele by doing things such as hosting black and white dress charity dinners and sending direct mail. They also share some secrets about how they went about designing their pamphlets in a way that both saved time and made it look high caliber.

Rachel Marten Bio

Rachel Marten, Cr.Photog., is the example of doing what needs to be done. She and her husband, Clark, come from a strong agricultural background. As they pursued Clark's passion of photography, Rachel found that the art of photography was totally different from the business of photography.  Pushed into a corner to create a life for her family, Rachel sought out the people and the "know-how" to take action, to be successful in this industry. Today, she and Clark run one of the highest sales per capita studios in the nation.
