If technology never evolved, then photography wouldn’t be where it is today.
The Best Innovations of 2019
As 2020 rolls around the corner, it’s important to acknowledge the technology that has propelled photographers through the year. Every update to the photography industry has acted as a building block for photographers which puts us one step closer to next year’s innovations.
In the article, “2019’s Best Innovations in the Photography Industry,” the authors at Shooting M4/3 give us their take on the best photography creations of 2019. The first innovation on the list was the iPhone XR Advanced Portrait Mode. The authors point out that this camera feature “enables you to sharpen the foreground and blur the background for photos so stunning, they look like they belong on the wall in a museum.”
The next innovation on the list was the improvement of the camera's video and audio capabilities this year. In 2019, manufacturers started to pump out more digital cameras that were suited for both still photography and video of up to 1080p quality. This was a huge game-changer for photographers because instead of having to choose between which camera was suited for either video or audio now they can choose a 2-in-1 solution!
