Copyright Office Remains Open During Partial Government Shutdown
As many of you know, our country is currently in the middle of a partial government shutdown. Due to the shutdown, many agencies are unable to provide their regular services. However, the Copyright Office is unaffected. Since the Copyright Office had their budget passed earlier in 2018 they are able to remain open at full staff with no planned interruptions. This means you can continue to file applications for registrations, and contact them for any customer support/questions.
As a reminder, the best way to contact the Copyright Office is 202-707-3000 or by visiting Copyright.gov.
