About This Workshop

For beginner to intermediate photographers who want Photoshop to feel clear, logical, and repeatable instead of overwhelming. This hands-on workshop is designed for photographers who know what they want to improve in their images, but want a practical framework for getting there with confidence. We will focus on the core concepts that make Photoshop “click,” so you are not relying on guesswork or random tool hopping. You will learn a non-destructive approach that protects image quality and keeps your edits flexible. The goal is to help you build an editing flow you can use across any genre, whether you shoot portraits, landscapes, events, or commercial work. Students will bring a laptop with Photoshop and follow along using provided practice files. This class emphasizes good decision-making over button memorization, so you understand why an edit works, not just how to repeat steps. We will cover how to think in layers, how to target specific areas without creating obvious artifacts, and how to approach common cleanup and enhancement tasks with restraint. You will also learn how to evaluate your results as you work, so your final images look natural and intentional. By the end, you should feel comfortable opening an image, building a clean layer structure, making meaningful improvements, and exporting with confidence. The workshop is paced for learning, with short demos followed by guided practice so you can immediately apply what you see. Attend both programs for a complete Photoshop crash course!
