About This Event

Here is an expanded version at approximately 145 words:Explore the visual energy and distinctive architecture of Dallas through a combination of hands-on field instruction and classroom editing. We will begin in the city, photographing a variety of architectural subjects, urban landscapes, and street scenes while discussing composition, perspective, lens selection, light, movement, and ways to create stronger visual stories. Potential locations may include Thanksgiving Square, Dallas City Hall, Main Street, Klyde Warren Park, Deep Ellum, and viewpoints featuring the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.Following the field session, we will return to the classroom to review and edit selected images. Demonstrations will include perspective correction, color and contrast adjustments, managing highlights and shadows, removing distractions, and refining images for greater visual impact. This class is designed to help photographers become more confident working in an urban environment while developing practical techniques they can apply to both street and architectural photography.A pre-workshop Zoom session will be scheduled to prepare you for the field portion in terms of gear, parking, transportation, etc.
