The new Sigma fp is the world’s smallest and lightest full-frame mirrorless digital camera. The design provides portability, performance, scalability, and seamless function.
Sized at 4.43x2.75x1.78 inches, the camera body houses a back-illuminated 35mm full-frame Bayer sensor that captures 24.6 effective megapixels. The electronic shutter enables quiet shooting without any shutter shake.
Three new lenses have been released for the fp’s L-mount: the 35mm F1.2 DG DN Art ($1,499), the 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN Art ($1,399), and the 45mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary ($549) in addition to 11 previously announced Sigma L-mount Art prime lenses. Sigma SA and Sigma Canon EF lenses can be used on the body with a mount converter.
Teal and Orange mode, Auto HDR, and a Cinemagraph function enable users to create in-camera looks that would typically be made in post-production.
The fp is also designed for professional-level filmmaking, supporting 12-bit CinemaDNG external recording of raw video data and 4K UHD/24fps recording. $1,899 (body only)
