Ultra-telephoto Designed for Mirrorless

Sigma has introduced the first ultra-telephoto zoom in its Sports lens line. The Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports lens promises to deliver outstanding optical performance throughout the zoom range. Its construction includes 25 elements in 15 groups, employing high-performance glass to control aberrations, ensure excellent resolution, and provide high resistance to ghosting and flare. Expect attractive compression and pleasing bokeh in out-of-focus areas.

The autofocus is fast, quiet, and accurate, even with moving objects. Hand-held shooting at slow shutter speeds is enhanced by the optical stabilization function. The 150–600mm F5-6.3 is dust- and splash-resistant and has a water- and oil-repellent coating on the front element.

Because it’s designed for mirrorless cameras, the lens is significantly more compact and lighter than a DSLR equivalent. Its dual-action zoom supports both push-pull and ring zoom, and the resistance of the zoom ring and lock can be changed with a switch.

The Sigma 150–600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports lens is available in L-mount and Sony E-mount. It retails for $1,499.
