Add a Layer of Artistry

For 10 years, hand-painted Gravity Backdrops were available only through distribution from Europe. Now MAC Group is establishing Gravity Showrooms at dealers in the United States and will stock a large inventory of Classic and Limited Edition Collection backdrops for shipping from its New York warehouses.

Gravity Backdrops artists layer acrylic paints on Italian duck canvas using brushes, mops, sponges, rags, and other tools to create unique textures and color blends. Canvases are carefully cured to ensure the paints dry properly.

The neutral gray backdrops are particularly suited to color grading in post-production, giving photographers the option to achieve different looks with one background. Texturing and hand-painted artistry lend depth and added interest to a portrait without distracting from the subject.

Classic backdrops are produced in small batches and are suited for studios that need matching backgrounds in different sizes or for different locations. Limited Edition backdrops are one-of-a-kind creations from backdrop artists. Gravity Backdrops come in a range of colors and textures and in eight sizes from 3.9x7.8 feet to 8.9x19.7 feet. Prices range from $295 to $1,425.
