Working with dancers can be both wonderful and challenging. Learning how to set up your lighting, how to communicate with your dancer and the essentials of posing help move your work from just-okay to oh-wow. In this class, we begin by discussing your goals and the experience you've had thus far. We will spend the rest of the day working with one or more dancers. We'll experiment with the positioning and intensity of lights, using different modifiers, and varying camera angles. Our dancers will do some dancing, so you'll experience capturing them in action and learn how to anticipate and communicate. Our dancers will also do some posing so you will learn key elements of angles and camera height and position. Throughout the day we will review images and critique each other. This is a shared learning experience and each participant will be both learner and teacher.
