This course covers how we "see" and perceive "good" images. How the brain interprets light, shadows, shape, and color are some of the "seasonings" we use in creating powerful images. We will cover the visual anatomy and basic functional elements of light perception. We will discuss vision perception and mood. We will cover photographic techniques used by master photographers to create impactful images. We will cover color theory, composition, and concept development for creative projects. Finally, we will review the lighting and camera settings that can be a launching pad for more complex composition choices. This class is for advanced beginners to professional-level photographers.
