Join us this spring as we explore the beauty of nature reclaiming the land in the “Granite Capitol of the World.” We'll wander through fascinating ruins, where granite is wrapped in vibrant green leaves, towering slag piles are overtaken by birch trees, rusted trains are covered in plants, and abandoned quarries glow with teal waters. This outdoor photography workshop offers a unique opportunity to capture the contrast between industrial history and the peaceful return of nature. The walking tour will give you plenty of chances to photograph from the ground and above, with tips for both drone and traditional cameras. We’ll be visiting sites new to all our previous classes. All skill levels and camera types are welcome, though a 24-70mm and 70-200mm lens (and tripod!) are recommended for the best results. Be sure to bring sturdy walking shoes for a mild hike, and weather-appropriate clothing to make the most of this outdoor adventure. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced photographer, this class will inspire you to document the beauty of nature taking back its space.
