This course introduces and incorporates topics about utilizing beauty dishes for various photography business genres including headshots and full portraits. How beauty dishes modify light, how to assemble a beauty dish, and how to properly maintain them are part of the introductory portions of this course. Included in this course will be a section covering grip (stands, booms, clamps, etc), the proper configuration and installation of grip; and addressing safety concerns when handling grip and overhead lighting. Typical camera settings, light settings, light patterns, and subject posing are topics included in the portrait course section. Also included in the portrait section are hands-on activities. The remaining sections cover when/why to incorporate a beauty dish in your modifier's toolbox and how to select a dish that best suits a photographer’s needs.
