We will be covering the fundamentals of studio lighting and off-camera lighting. We will be covering the different types of lighting from Studio flash, Constant Light, and Natural light. We will cover how to use a meter both measuring ambient light and flash. We will cover the different lighting patterns and which lighting patterns are best for the shape of the face. The students will be working with studio lights starting with one light and adding additional lights until we get a 3 or 4-light setup. We will be showing the difference between a main light, fill light, and additional separation lights ie hair light, and rim light. We will be teaching how to take meter readings and apply them in their lighting. We will be doing high-key and low-key photography backgrounds. We will have male and female models of different age groups and family groups.
