In today's digital age, it can be easy to forget the importance of preserving physical prints. As time goes by, photographs can become faded, torn, or damaged in various ways. But with the right techniques and tools, we can bring these old images back to life and ensure that they will be enjoyed for years to come. In this workshop, you will learn how to preserve photographic prints in a way that prevents further deterioration, including information on safe storage and handling. You will also gain valuable skills in using Photoshop to fix damaged prints. From tears, scratches, faded colors, water damage, and even restoring missing areas you will discover how to restore a photograph with precision and care. This workshop is not just for photographers. Whether you are a genealogist looking to preserve family memories, an artist wanting to add a new skill to your repertoire, or simply someone who appreciates the value of preserving images, this class is for you. It is recommended that participants have basic knowledge of Photoshop and access to the program on their own computer. However, no prior experience in photo restoration is necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and love for preserving memories.
