This course is designed to teach photographers not only the basics of standard headshot photography but also to go beyond traditional headshots to branding images that tell stories and visually craft a client's brand. In the past 2 years, we have photographed over 100 individuals for magazine publications, and in this workshop, we will dive into what that process looks like for our studio. We will cover the logistics of the initial contact with the publication and client to organizing the sessions, selecting locations, and scheduling workflow. We will also cover the technical and creative aspects of posing, lighting, and composition. Next, we will discuss our post-session process of file handling, editing, and delivery. Finally, we will address the use of images from the publications themselves, as well as selling images to clients and using them in our own marketing.
