Do you find studio lights and off-camera flash a little confusing? Do you want to learn how to use flash so you are not dependent on ambient light all the time? Ambient light is great, but sometimes it helps to know how to use flash so you can be more versatile in the work you can take and the times of day and places you can photograph. We are going to learn how to use studio lights as well as off-camera flash. We will cover how to use a light meter. We will learn about lighting patterns, different qualities of light, and how to achieve those. We will learn about lighting equipment, including studio strobes and speed lights for off-camera flash, as well as some of the accessories to go with them. We will also learn how to balance ambient light with flash when photographing on location. This will be a hands-on class so bring your camera and let's have some fun!
