A professional portrait is more than just a pro camera and a computer system. To create successful professional portraits, we must do a series of things every time a client calls. We must find flattering light and use an artificial light(s) and modifiers. Pose the person or group in a professional manner. Make the subject feel comfortable in that pose. Capture a pleasing expression. Cull the right images to show the client. Make enhancements to help the person/group look good but not fake or different and deliver the final product on time with customer satisfaction. Do that consistently and well and you can make a career out of photography.
