Edward Jason Nader, CPP
Join Jason Nader for an afternoon to late night workshop on night sky landscape photography. The first part of this class will be held at our studio in Sterling, Virginia, and will include a discussion on the applications, tools, and techniques used for both capturing and editing night sky landscapes and astrophotography. During the lecture, we will review editing techniques in Lightroom and Photoshop used to bring out the subject's foreground and the brilliance of the night sky. The second part of this class will be held in the field in the vicinity of Upperville, Virginia for hands-on practice of capturing the night sky using the knowledge and techniques learned in the classroom. The in-field workshop will require driving to the vicinity of Upperville, Virginia (one hour away) from our studio for dark sky conditions necessary for capture. The classroom discussion will be held regardless of the weather or sky conditions. The fieldwork is dependent on the weather and sky conditions and is subject to reschedule which will be determined at the time of our scheduled departure (approximately 7:00pm).
