Michael J. Lee, M.Photog., CPP
This workshop is designed for both advanced amateurs and professionals who want to explore a new genre - Landscape Photography. The day will include a review of the gear you will need for both you and your camera; technical stuff like settings and the digital darkroom; basics of composition; developing an awareness of light, weather, seasons, latitude and elevation; and an opportunity to apply all of it in one of the most dramatic landscapes in the Midwest - Starved Rock State Park. Pre-requisite: a thorough understanding of your particular camera's buttons, switches, and menus. Part or all of the day may be spent outside - students should prepare for weather and terrain; more details will follow upon registration. The workshop will include two virtual meetings: one in advance to review basic concepts and answer questions, and one follow-up to review images and discuss workflow/retouching.
