Students will learn the dynamics of the inverse-square law as it applies to photography in an indoor studio classroom setting. Each student will be able to demonstrate inverse-square law applications with constant light and with flash photography. Reflectors and the inverse-square law will be discussed. Students will learn how to analyze and "see" the light. A model will be used and students so students can obtain images for their portfolios. After lunch the class will move outdoors for instruction on environmental off-camera flash photography. The class will finish with a downtown photowalk shoot applying the inverse square-law. Lunch is on your own and restaurants are within mile of the studio. Hand-outs will be provided. Bring your camera and your off-camera flash and a method to trigger it.
