Using layers and masks is a great way to selectively (rather than globally) edit your photographs. Layers and Masks are the heart and soul of Photoshop. Learning how to use Layers and Masks will give you the ability to creatively and non-destructively edit your images to bring out the best in them. We will explore the different types of layers: adjustment layers which come with masks, new blank layers, pixel layers, and new merged layers. Masks will allow an effect to be applied over one part of an image rather than globally applied to the entire image. Layers and masks can be used for non-destructive editng, selective editing, headswapping, compositing, textures, and more. Images will be provided so that you can practice what you are learning during the session. You will watch me -- and then try it yourself.
Course Items: Class will be via Zoom.
