This course is designed and planned to help beginning and intermediate photographers get beyond 'a snapshot' portrait. The course is designed to provide three key objectives to improve the attendees ability to create impactful portraits. First objective is slowing down and being deliberate with a plan, purpose and story. Second is building connection with the subject to be able to effectively communicate. Lastly, using the connection and simple posing coaching creating beautiful images that fit within your plan and story.
Items to bring: Notebook or method of taking notes, SD Memory Card - will allow use of my studio setup and possibly on location as well, camera, preferred lenses for portrait work - may be prime or zoom no specific need. For the location shoots students may want to bring OCF that they use if the do - I am a Canon/Profoto person. In studio for purposes of learning and time we will use instructors equipment.
