If you have mastered the basics of the exposure triangle and are ready to take your photography skills to the next level with off camera flash, this class is for you. Melissa and Kristy will teach you how to create striking images using your off camera lighting, both in the studio setting and on location. The class will review the basics of light, and show you how to use flash to create the light you want in any circumstance. You will learn the basics of creating light that looks natural on location and then move on to more dramatic lighting patterns. You will learn about they different types of light modifiers, from umbrellas to softboxes. Melissa and Kristina will demonstrate how and when each type of light modifier is used. You will learn how to set up a basic studio light set up. They will take you out of the studio in the afternoon to practice lighting on location.
Items to bring: Camera and notebook to take notes. If you have your own flash, light stand, trigger, receiver and modifiers bring those. If not you can still learn as we walk through the process with out gear.
