This workshop is an educational practicum structured to illuminate photographers on the use of low-key lighting to flatter the subject or to convey an intended message. Studio lights, backgrounds, and live models will be available to produce the desired images. The class will discuss the use of a light meter, a grey card or ExpoDisc, and studio lights, and clothing which are all used to create high key images. You will study historical and contemporary high key images which will serve as inspiration for the days' session. Everyone will create images using two, three, and four studio lights. Live models and studio lighting gear will be available to students.
Items to bring: Full frame DSLR, portrait lenses (85mm, 105mm, 135mm), light meter, note-taking materials.
