Consumer expectation for portrait photography is rapidly evolving. There is an increasing demand for portraits outside of the studio--portraits that reflect a sense of place. This class will help you learn how to produce studio quality portraits outside of the studio. Students will get hands on experience learning proper lighting and posing techniques for a variety of subjects and lighting conditions. At the conclusion of the class, students will be able to confidently produce stunning environmental portraits that tell a story of their client in their surroundings. Shooting locations will be in the historic Old Market District of Downtown Omaha and other walkable locations near the studio.
Items to bring: A professional camera (e.g., DSLR or mirrorless) with a portrait lens (either a zoom or a prime in the 50mm-100mm focal length range). Godox transmitters for your camera, if you own one. If not, they will be provided at the class.
