Master teacher, Kevin Floyd, has had over 20 years of full time classroom teaching experience on both the college and high school level including 10 years at the Prestigious Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. Kevin is a Studio and Gallery Owner, holds both Master & Craftsman Degrees and is Certified by the Professional Photographers of America. Kevin has earned PPA's prestigious100 EDU merit for teaching. Kevin is currently serving on the board of ASP and is a Past President of Jacksonville Professional Photographers Guild.
To begin, Kevin will discuss lighting theories, color theory, and his everyday setups. The class will then cover basic lighting including the 5 lighting patterns, short vs broad lighting, light modifiers and when to use what. Kevin will demonstrate his techniques in the studio, then let you have a go at it. Then you will go on location and show how to get the same studio quality look outdoors with lights. Finally, you will go over how to achieve the same results using natural light and reflectors.
Items to bring: Bring your camera, note taking materials, and any questions you may have.
