Lisa R. Jones, CPP
This course will be for beginners and enthusiasts who would like to learn the basics of lighting. Lisa will start by talking about and demonstrating the different lighting patterns including why and when you would choose one over the other when lighting your subject. She will then talk about quality of light and demonstrate the difference between soft light and hard light. She will discuss natural light versus strobe use. The natural light discussion will include how to look for good light and how to use reflectors to enhance that light. She will then move to strobe use and talk about how to use OCF both outside as well as inside/studio use. With the help of a model, Lisa will demonstrate how you can use one light to create a variety of looks by changing modifiers and using other elements such as reflectors and v-flats to add different dimensions of light to your subject. She will also touch on how you can use light to create mood as well as how lighting can be used to flatter your subject as well as address skin issues such as unwanted lines and wrinkles.
