This landscape photography class offers a thorough introduction to the essential skills and techniques needed to capture professional-quality images of natural environments. Students will study composition, the Exposure Triad (shutter speed, aperture, and ISO), metering methods, white balance, histogram, and the role of ambient versus reflected light in creating impactful photographs. The curriculum emphasizes practical applications, including identifying the best times of day for shooting and mastering slow exposure techniques to produce dynamic, 4-dimensional images that highlight the movement of water and clouds. Participants will gain hands-on experience with the Lee 100 landscape filter system, learning to apply Neutral Density, Polarizer, Graduate ND, and UV filters to enhance their work. In addition, the course covers essential equipment such as cameras, lenses, tripods, gray cards, and light meters, while also exploring mobile photography tools, ensuring students achieve outstanding landscape photography images.
