Have you ever looked at a finished photograph and wondered how the artist transformed the original RAW file into such a powerful image? This full-day, hands-on class takes you through the complete editing process, from evaluating and selecting an image to preparing the final photograph for competition, exhibition, print, or delivery to a client.Rather than concentrating on individual software tools, we will focus on the decisions that guide an effective edit. Working together with provided image files, participants will follow each step of the process, including RAW development, composition and cropping, color and tonal adjustments, local enhancements, distraction removal, creative filters, plugins, sharpening, and final presentation. You will watch each image develop in real time, make the same adjustments on your own computer, and receive personal guidance when you encounter questions or challenges. The goal is not simply to copy an instructor’s settings, but to understand why each decision is made and how to develop a thoughtful, repeatable editing workflow of your own.
