This class is about the basics of print competition. Most importantly overcoming any hesitation or concerns about entering print competition at the local guild, state, Merit Image Review (MIR), or IPC levels. You'll learn about the judging process and what elements judges expect. You will also learn valuable resources to use to gain knowledge and inspiration as you prepare for print competitions. Plus, we'll talk about the tangible and intangible rewards. At the end of the day, the expectation is that you will have the information and motivation to start or renew your journey in print competition to enhance your professional career as you work toward a PPA degree. This class is intended for both new and experienced photographers who have never entered a print competition or may have entered in the past, but may be hesitating to enter again or need additional motivation. The size of the class is limited to five (5) students to facilitate an inspirational small-group learning experience.
