Concert Photography is exciting and challenging. It calls to mind large venues with amazing lighting effects and stunning performance action, but to get there most photographers will first have to learn to work in intimate venues with bad lighting, 'wooden' bands, and uncooperative crowds. This course will teach you how to begin your concert photography journey toward photo greatness by learning to master your local venue. We will start with how to find and foster opportunities to photograph live performances. Then we will work our way through basic equipment needs, managing lighting circumstances, and shooting those critical decisive moments. Along the way, I will share with you the tips and tricks I have discovered while documenting the underground music scenes in Los Angeles and Wichita. After this course, you will be able to make incredible images that excite bands and fans. With the skills from this course, you will be able to schedule bookings with local bands and show up confident in your equipment and your ability to meet your client's needs.
