Learn the basics of photographing food including lens choices, composition, lighting, and basic styling. Topics will include photographing food on white backgrounds, how to handle different types of food and avoiding pitfalls from ice cream to chocolate to produce. Proper preparation includes what kind of tools you might need - chopsticks, hairdryers, gloves, fans, compressed air, Windex, eyedroppers, and as well as various props to consider. Included will be post-production work in the digital darkroom using booth Lightroom and Photoshop. This workshop will be a 1:1 teacher-student ratio - a great opportunity for the student to get a complete hands-on individualized experience.
