Are you afraid of working with children because they seem so unpredictable? Do you dread being asked to take newborn photographs? Are you queasy at the idea of working with siblings? In this course a former educator turned pro photographer offers wonderful insights, best practices, tips and tricks to better equip us to be able to work with children of all ages from newborns to pre-teens. We’ll discuss important aspects of the various stages of childhood that will be helpful in building your confidence as you achieve cooperation rather than battle or coax the young people to work with you. Explore different ways that you can manage parents who are nervous, obtrusive, or just plain inactive. Learn which equipment and lenses work best for the "moving target" ages versus the posed situations with child subjects. Michele works on location, but the knowledge you gain about children during this class will also be helpful in studio. (Presentation based subject matter without hands-on shooting.)
