Underwater portrait photography is a unique way to express your creativity. Think high school seniors, boudoir, maternity, families, children, birthday celebrations, and commercial work. By creating your unique underwater niche, your business stands out! We will begin by discussing basic underwater principles, such as underwater properties, light, and backscatter. I will discuss housings, how to use ambient light and external flashes, settings, posing, and the business side of underwater portraiture. I will give you tips on how to find pools if you do not have a pool. After we chat for a bit, we will step into my Saint Louis heated indoor pool and photograph an experienced couple and maternity woman underwater. I use Outex underwater housing and have a discount code should you wish to use your own camera and housing. Outex fits any camera and has an affordable cost of $425 before my 10% discount code. I also own two underwater Nauticam housings with my cameras, that may be used. Once we are dry, I will go over how to process underwater photos in Lightroom and Photoshop. You will walk away with the knowledge you need to turn your blue photos into beautiful, sellable art. Is the fear of the water holding you back? Embrace the fear and know that you do not need to swim or even put your head underwater if you choose. I will be there to guide you and believe me, we will have FUN! Join me in St. Louis to experience the thrill and fun of an underwater portrait adventure.
