Students will photograph models using lighting techniques outdoors with the use of additive flash. Students will practice the use of light meters in the ambient mode and flash mode. Students will be able to add flash ( strobes) to their images and measure light with the added flash to have an outdoor portrait of a live model correctly exposed. Students will discuss additive and subtractive techniques in the outdoor environment. Students will perform hands-on during the exercise part of the course with a live model. Students will review the photo session and discuss previous techniques to improve lighting in their photos before the course ends. Students will set up photos in a different outdoor location as an exercise to reinforce course details.
