: This class will introduce students to some of the most powerful editing tools in Photoshop. Learn how to selectively enhance your images to achieve maximum impact. Class will include how and when to use Layers and Masking to isolate areas of your image for selective adjustments; when and how to use Adjustment Layers. We will also explain the most commonly used Blend Modes, how and when to use them to refine your images through selective dodging and burning, selective contrast control, and saturating color. And how and when to use Layer Styles to finish off the image. We will spend part of the morning in presentation and discussion of the subject matter, and then will do some photography with which to apply the lessons of the morning.Students must have a working knowledge of Photoshop, bring a laptop and camera and some images to apply the knowledge gained if you don’t wish to shoot.Class will be limited to five eager students.
