In this workshop, you will take a very comprehensive look at what off camera lighting can do for your portraits and career. Spend the day with Instructors George P. Joell III and Dajuan Jones as they show you how portable strobes, flashes and LEDs, mixed with ambient light, can create a dramatic well lit portrait. You will learn lighting theory, how to measure ambient light, how to control the lighting on your background, and enhance the light on your subject creatively. The class will discuss back-lighting and rim lighting to separate your subject from the background and give your portrait that professional look and feel. You will explore the use of various types of modifiers, grids, gels, and reflectors. George and Dajuan will share some of their most coveted tips and tricks for getting that perfect lighting for events and weddings.
