SUMMARY:Creative Expression Through Digital Art
DESCRIPTION:Digital painting is a fun and versatile medium with endless pos
 sibilities. It can help a photographer transition from merely capturing re
 ality to interpreting it as an art form. It allows photographers to expres
 s themselves on a digital canvas using software (Photoshop) and hardware (
 graphics tablets/styluses) that mimic traditional painting techniques. For
  this workshop\, attendees need to have a working knowledge of digital pai
 nting at an intermediate level – not a beginner level – so it&#039\;s 
 important that attendees already understand the concept of digital paintin
 g. Kristy Steeves\, who is a PPA Master Photographer and Master Artist\, w
 ill show you how to apply digital brushstrokes\, textures\, and effects to
  create painted backgrounds that compliment the subject in the foreground.
  We will also paint the subject\, focusing on applying texture\, along wit
 h adding light and shadow\, all of which adds depth and brings a painting 
 to life. We will paint animal fur and bird feathers so you get an idea of 
 the different brushes that are needed for each. Kristy will provide the br
 ushes and images for this workshop.
