The lecture portion of the workshop focuses on business and financial management, the how-to's of effective branding, targeting, and marketing, and techniques for maximizing sales.
A phone session with a PPA accountant will result in a custom financial plan recommendation, and you’ll engage in an hour-long private consultation with an SMS mentor and accountant to scope your business and marketing strategy.

In 2004, Allison and her husband Jeff, also a graphic designer, opened Allison Rodgers Photography (their work was featured on the April 2008 cover of Professional Photographer). They have doubled their sales each year and are regarded as one of the most profitable studios in the U.S., due to their design skills, marketing strategies, and client relationships. What should I do to prepare for the class?
Your investment includes one-on-one consultations with a PPA accountant and SMS mentor. In order for the CPA and mentor to prepare for these meetings, we request financial documentation, sales and sessions reports and the Business Breakthroughs Questionnaire. The checklist and materials are included under the Course Materials section on this page. After registration, you will receive a detailed email explaining the process and how to submit the required materials.
I may not have time to submit the required consultation materials prior to the workshop. Can I still attend?
Absolutely! You can complete the financial and mentor consultations post-workshop.
What should I bring with me to the class?
Attendees will receive a bound copy of the full presentation with room for taking notes. Additional notepads/pens are suggested but not required. In order to respect our instructors, we request that you do not use your laptop, tablet or phone for note-taking. If you do not submit copies of your marketing materials prior to the workshop, please bring hard copies with you to class.
