Wedding Shoot Out, Prop Challenge

Alex Karas & John Mireles & Parker Pfister Cr.Photog. & Julia Woods M.Photog.Cr. & Hanson Fong M.Photog.Cr.

This segment is comprised of two separate two minute challenges. Both take place in a small garden courtyard with mostly spotty direct sunlight. In the first challenge each photographer performs a two minute freestyle shoot where they can work anywhere in the courtyard with any combination of lenses. In the second each photographer draws an unlikely prop from a hat which must somehow be used in the image. As with every previous challenge each of the photographers puts their own unique signature stamp on the creation of the final images.

Parker Pfister Bio

While other kids dreamed of being firefighters and cowboys, Parker dreamed of being a National Geographic photographer. He started his journey into the art of photography at age six when his grandmother gave him his first camera. Eight years later Eastman Kodak honored him with a silver medallion for second place at the 1982 World's Fair.

He's had a camera in his hands ever since, photographing anything that interests or moves him. Last year he was named one of the "Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the World" by American Photo. He was on the cover of NikonWorld magazine, was seen on the BBC's Style Network, and his work was featured on Keeping up with the Kardashians, Entertainment Tonight and The Food Network, but says his biggest reward of the year was playing with his son, Scout.
