About the Class

As a commercial photographer in Los Angeles, Ian Spanier has a great deal of experience working on location.  He shares his process for scouting locations, evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of a particular locale and some factors that determine his equipment list prior to the shoot.  The message here is to be prepared so that you can transform any environment to best suit your creative needs.  We’ll even get a glimpse into his sketchbook which he uses as a visual communication tool with clients, a place to jot down specific gear requirements, a resource for inspiration and along the way it has become a nice collection of his jobs.
