Snuggly Newborn, Part 1

Amy Parrish

Amy's subject is 10 day old Henry, who is snuggly and warm for his debut photography session. Amy uses a "blanket lasagna" and an audio heartbeat loop to create comfort for the baby. She shares her ideas on basic newborn posing, which involves working with what the baby wants to do. She also shares her secrets on what to do when babies cry during a session and what backgrounds and props she uses to invoke emotions.
