When a bride and groom or portraiture clients choose to have the beach as their setting, they are choosing it for the unique and beautiful scenery that the beach offers. Therefore, as a photographer who is venturing into a new setting which may not be your specialty, it is critical that you prepare yourself for the unique problems and issues you may experience. Ellen LeRoy specializes in portraits and weddings on the North Carolina Outer Banks. Her work is often described as soft, clean, and natural, working with the elements of the environment to produce work that continues to wow clients. She runs a home-based studio and commonly photographs families coming to Emerald Isle for their summer vacations, along with beach destination weddings.
Ellen has received the prestigious Kodak Gallery Award and the Professional Photographers of North Carolina President's Award for the highest scoring new artist in print competition. In 2011, Ellen received her Master of Photography degree from PPA for her achievements in the International Photographic Competition.
