Keeping Your Creative Edge

Parker Pfister Cr.Photog.

Parker loves to keep his creative juices flowing. He pushes his boundaries by working in different lighting conditions and by capturing various images just to see how his camera will handle. In this segment Ed Pierce, PhotoVision’s producer, visits Parker in Asheville and follows along on one of Parker’s creative jaunts where he captures the early morning fog and strangers on the street. This is a journey you won’t want to miss.

Parker Pfister Bio

While other kids dreamed of being firefighters and cowboys, Parker dreamed of being a National Geographic photographer. He started his journey into the art of photography at age six when his grandmother gave him his first camera. Eight years later Eastman Kodak honored him with a silver medallion for second place at the 1982 World's Fair.

He's had a camera in his hands ever since, photographing anything that interests or moves him. Last year he was named one of the "Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the World" by American Photo. He was on the cover of NikonWorld magazine, was seen on the BBC's Style Network, and his work was featured on Keeping up with the Kardashians, Entertainment Tonight and The Food Network, but says his biggest reward of the year was playing with his son, Scout.
