In this episode, correspondent Lori Nordstrom tags along with Dan McClanahan on a typical, high school senior session. Now the word "typical" and Dan McLanahan are rarely used in the same sentence!! The only thing typical about this session is that it begins with a series of studio head shots. Leaving the studio, Dan and his senior in prom dress head outdoors for some “informal formals” at a local junkyard. And now Dan is in his environment. He brings several studio strobes that allow him to create the drama and impact that his images are known for!

Their work quickly made waves in the photo industry with multiple Grand Imaging Awards, WPPI 1st place awards, and magazine features.

Outside of the office he is a drummer, snowboarder, Harry Potter geek, spicy–food–connoisseur and collector of bright shoes. Dan has dressed up as a Ninja Turtle for halloween six different times since the age of 5 and his psyche is heavily influenced by Dr. Suess. BA in Journalism, Iowa State.
