Serge Timacheff

Serge Timacheff is a six-time Olympic photographer specializing in the sport of fencing. As the official photographer for the International Fencing Federation (FIE) and USA Fencing for nearly 20 years, he has taken more than 3 million images of elite fencing around the world. He has shot for many publications, national federations, Corbis, Getty Images, and his work has appeared in thousands of publications and websites worldwide. He is also the author of several books on photography, including The Image of Fencing, Canon EOS Photo Workshop, Digital Sports Photography: Taking Winning Shots Every Time, Total Digital Photography, Digital Photography for Dummies, and Travel Photography for Dummies in a Day, among other titles. He has also photographed numerous celebrities, leaders of nations, royalty, and major musical events and has given dozens of workshops on digital photography workflow, sports photography, and event photography. He also led global PR efforts for Logitech in launching the first-ever digital camera for consumers. Currently he is the media manager as well as the editor for American Fencing and Escrime (the magazine of FIE). Serge is based in Seattle and works worldwide.
