Dr. Steven Labkoff is a renowned photographer and educator, currently based in Stamford, Connecticut. He discovered his passion for photography at the age of 9 and has since then captured life's moments through his lens, providing a unique perspective to his audience. His work has been featured in various publications, including newspapers, books, and websites, showcasing his versatility in different genres of photography.

In 2018, Dr. Labkoff was introduced to astrophotography at a local PPA meeting by an astrophotographer who was a member of the Westport Astronomical Society. He joined the society and underwent an apprenticeship, where he learned the intricacies of true astrophotography from the observatory's president. Today, Dr. Labkoff is an accomplished astrophotographer, winning regional imaging competitions and exhibiting his works in museums across the US, Europe, and Israel. He is also a specialized educator, sharing his knowledge and skills with students.  He has photographed most major targets in the skies of the Northern Hemisphere including galaxies, nebulae, planets, and the occasional comet.

Dr. Labkoff received his PPA Masters degree in 2023, a testament to his dedication and excellence in the field of photography. His works have been recognized with several national and regional awards, including the silver medal in the Professional Photographers of America's 2022 and 2020 International Photography Competitions, and Tops in Connecticut 2023 and 2019.
