RE: Coronavirus benefits extended

Dear PPA Member,
As you are aware, PPA has been working tirelessly to help you get through these unprecedented times. We know things are difficult. But our industry has been through difficult times before – pandemics, world wars, depressions, and disruptive technologies. We fought our way through those trials, and we will fight through this one too.

Over the last month, PPA has been working hard to help mitigate the stress this is causing you and your family by:

  • Lobbying for greater relief packages for photographers and other small businesses.
  • Educating members on how to navigate through cancellations and contracts.
  • Creating a robust all-in-one site for all COVID-19 related resources (PPA.com/InItTogether).
  • Producing a series of webinars on how to apply for the government assistance packages approved by Congress in March.
  • Introducing a series of webinars that are designed to help you know what to work on during the down-time associated with state and local “lock-down” orders.

Today, I want to tell you about two new benefits that we hope you will take advantage of. The first is a new “In It Together Dedicated Chat Line.” We know that navigating through the various types of government assistance is difficult. That’s why we have created a new chat line on the PPA.com/InItTogether site to help answer your questions.

We are also announcing today the creation of the In It Together Education Voucher. This benefit is a $30 voucher directly for PPA members to use at your discretion on any of PPA’s education offerings including:

  • Certification and re-certification fees
  • Fees associated with participating in the PPA’s International Photographic Competition or District Competition
  • Image Competition Critiques
  • PPA Photographic Workshops

Our desire is to encourage members to use this time to sharpen their photographic and entrepreneurial skills, enabling you to hit the ground running once the current crisis is over. The voucher will be good for any of the above that you might have participated in between March 15, 2020, through the end of the year. Details on how to obtain and use the voucher will be released soon – we are still working out the logistics.

None of us have ever lived through times like these. Take courage, be safe, and know that once this lifts, we will be there with you as always to help you charge out of the gate!

My wishes for your continued health and safety,

Gregory Daniel,
