PPA has helped me stand apart from those who think the status quo is acceptable. The lessons I have learned from the online offerings, classes I have taken, and the friends I have made through PPA have been invaluable… I got started in photography due to my other entertainment work. At the time, I was working for the Oprah Winfrey Show in Chicago as the Master Carpenter. We were building scenery for one of the episodes and the discussion came up that I should be documenting the things that I was building. So I started photographing sets and scenic elements. Later, while on tour with Cirque du Soleil, I moved to shooting people. I found I enjoyed that much more, having the people to interact with.

PPA’s Indemnification Trust assists members when client claims arise. This unique coverage, administered by one of the most experienced firms in the realm of professional photography, is an invaluable benefit that is included with your membership.

Seek early intervention to resolve issues arising from data loss, missed shots or general client dissatisfaction beyond your control. Sometimes, sound advice is enough to get you through. Other times, its more complicated than that. The Trust has funded data recovery, limited restaging, settlements and judgements, attorney fees, and other unrecoverable costs for our members.
