Transforming Aerial Photography into Abstract Art

There’s something about the perspective aerial photography provides that not only captivates us but also makes us understand our world better. In this article, Zack Seckler shares how he was able to capture abstract aerial images that show the world in a whole new light.

For his third aerial series, Seckler set out to photograph abstract images of South Africa’s diverse terrain and roaming fauna. After exploring his options, he decided not to use drones. “There is tremendous variety and it’s a large country, so doing that with a drone would have taken months, “ he said. Instead, Seckler teamed up with a local pilot to create the perspective-shifting photographs. Seckler shares different stages of his experience from finding a pilot to shooting from the air, in this article on Professional Photographer.
